SAN CARLOS CITY—An employee of the Central Pangasinan Electric Cooperative was shot dead Monday  (Jan. 26) along Barangay Abanon this city by suspects riding in tandem on board a motorcycle, 21 days after his brother was also gunned down.

Killed was Jose Viray, 40, resident of Barangay Dorongan Punta, Managatarem town this province.

Viray was on his way to work as inspector on board his motorcycle when he was tailed from his residence by the unidentified assailants who shot and hit him once.

The police are looking into political rivalry as the motive since victim’s brother who planned to run in next year’s barangay election was also shot dead last January 5, 2015 in their barangay. (Tita Roces)
