BAP holds clinic on basketball rules for referees
A seminar-clinic on Basketball Rules and Accreditation of Referees was held recently by the Basketball Association of the Philippines (BAP) Region 1 at the Peoples Astrodome, with some of its member-referees in attendance.
The two-day seminar, conducted by International Basketball Referee Commissioner George Magsino, BAP R1, Inc. technical consultant, was attended by members from Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Alaminos City, Urdaneta City, towns in Pangasinan, and Dagupan City.
The participants received their Certificates of Completion from BAP R1 chairman and Dagupan City Sports Coordinator Renato Vidal.
The seminar was supported by the government under Mayor Belen T. Fernandez, BAP regional director.
Meanwhile. Jimmy Padilla was unanimously elected by the member-referees as the new president of the BAP R1, Inc. Referees Commission. Other elected vice-presidents are Ronnie Justo (Ilocos Norte), Luis Gonzales (La Union), Jing Tolentino (Pangasinan), and, Arnulfo Rosario (Dagupan City). Elected secretary is Meng Lomibao.
