Four teams post first wins in the quarterfinals

JOCKEYING for the semi- final slots has begun as four teams listed their first wins against rivals in the quarterfinal round of the 2014-2015 Seaoil-NBTC (National Basketball Training Center) Elite League, in games held last Sunday, January 18, at DWAD Gym.

Game results are as follows: Divine Word Academy of Dagupan (DWAD) defeated St. Michael School by the Sea (SMSS), 67-52; Dagupan City National High School (DCNHS) blasted St. Albert the Great School (SAGS), 78-49; Pangasinan Universal Institute (PUI) nipped Lyceum-Northwestern University FQD Special Science High School (LNU-FQD), 67-60; and Federico N. Ceralde Integrated School (FNCIS) toppled La Marea Academy (LMA) 80-61.

With their first wins, DWAD, DCNHS, PUI, and FNCIS are a game shy to clinch semi-final berths as they collided yesterday with respective competitors. Game results were no not available.

In the cross-over semi-final series in which quarterfinal top team No. 1 of group E meets team No. 2 of Group F, and top team No. 1 of group F faces top team No. 2 of group E. The winners dispute the championship crown which is set on January 31. – (Philamer C. Celi)
