All cops cleared of indiscriminate firing

LINGAYEN—No firearm issued to policemen in the province were fired for the duration of the long holiday.

This was confirmed by the Pangasinan Provincial Police Office (PPPO) and municipal and city police stations in the province when final inspection of over 2,000 firearms sealed with masking tape was conducted last Friday, January 2.

According to PPPO information officer, Superintendent Ferdinand De Asis, all the tapes of the guns’ muzzles were intact during the inspection before these were ordered removed.

P/Sr. Supt. Reynaldo Biay, OIC- Pangasinan police director, was pleased to note that none of the police personnel in the province was involved in any indiscriminate firing incident during the Yuletide season.
