FOR LIGHTING UP BAYWALK
LINGAYEN—The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Pangasinan formally thanked the San Roque Power Foundation, Inc. and the Team Energy Foundation for making the solar streetlight project at the Baywalk Area in the Lingayen beachfront possible.
Vice Gov. Jose Ferdinand Calimlim Jr., sponsor of the resolution passed Monday, lauded the two foundations’ for delivering the project, adding “this should not go unnoticed and unrecognized by the provincial government of Pangasinan”.
He said the streetlighting of the Baywalk area using renewable energy has become a tourist attraction itself at the Lingayen Beach Front where families promenade now feel safe even early dawn and late hours of the night.
The project was a collaboration between the Sual Power Corporation and the San Roque Multi-purpose Dam, the two major power producers based in Sual and San Manuel towns respectively, as their corporate social responsibility project.
“The province of Pangasinan and its people shall forever be in deep gratitude to the support of the foundations of the two major power producers in the province for the realization of the street lighting in the Baywalk area,” the resolution said. (Tita Roces)
