STA. Lucia Land Inc., one of the country’s largest real estate companies with over 300 subdivision projects nationwide, unveiled its plan to build a 7.7 hectare upscale residential subdivision in Dagupan City.

This was conveyed initially by Agustin Cayabyab, president of the company’s marketing network, to Mayor Belen T. Fernandez in a meeting last week.

Cayabyab said the company considers Dagupan’s population as a big potential market and for being the center of commerce, communication and education in the North.

“We look forward to a good relationship with the Dagupeños because this is a flagship project of Sta. Lucia here in Dagupan,” Cayabyab told the local media.

He added Sta. Lucia plans to create more business opportunities for the city aside from the subdivision project.

Mayor Fernandez said she was elated by Sta. Lucia’s entry because it affirms the growing confidence of investors in the city’s potential.

“I welcome new investors and invite them to do business in Dagupan because we are a business-friendly city,” Fernandez said.

She attributed the growing confidence of investors in the city to the policy of transparency and good governance that helped make Dagupan as a business-friendly city.

Barangays Lucao, Pantal, Bonuan Gueset and Caranglaan have been tagged as the city’s new growth centers under its revised city’s Comprehensive Land Use Plan. (CIO)
