Trade expo in US: start of something big, says Calimlim

LINGAYEN– The recently concluded International Street Fair and Diversity Festival in the City of Artesia, Los Angeles, California that was participated in by a delegation of Pangasinan producers is seen to open more opportunities for export.

Vice Governor Jose Ferdinand Calimlim Jr. said the positive response of the expo visitors and buyers could be an indication of the bright prospects that lie ahead for the local producers. He also said that British, Canadians, and Singaporean investors have expressed interest in the development of the Sual seaport.

The nine Pangasinan producers showcased local products like dried mangoes, peanut brittles, cashew adobo, boneless bangus, woodcraft and wooden products, bamboo crafts, bamboo craft furniture, braided bamboos, handicrafts and other hand-made products and accessories. The province’s participation facilitated by the Pangasinan Brotherhood-USA led by Ed Ferrer. (Johanne R. Macob)
