THE longest City Fiesta celebration in Dagupan City ever will be staged by the fiesta executive committee headed by City Councilor Jeslito Seen as hermano mayor (executive chairman).

At a press conference, Seen said this year’s fiesta celebration will incorporate the celebration of the 400th year of founding of Dagupan as a Catholic parish in conjunction with the 400th Jubilee Celebration which kicks off on November 22 at the Saint John Metropolitan Cathedral.

Prior to Nov. 22, the annual Food Strip and Street Bazaar called “Baratilyo” will start on Nov. 12 and the revenues to be derived from these activities will bankroll the fiesta, Seen said.

Seen assured that not a single centavo from the city coffer will be drawn for the fiesta, similar to the arrangements done last year when for the first time in the city’s history, the executive committee headed by former Councilor Liberato Reyna Jr. relied solely on fund raising and contributions from sponsors, mostly in kind.
