25th NSM Celebration in October
LINGAYEN – The province is set to observe the National Statistics Month (NSM) this month of October.
The provincial steering committee, chaired this year by Liga ng mga Barangay President and Board Member Amado I. Espino III, announced a list of activities to serve the promotion of awareness and appreciation on the value of statistics and the cooperation and support of the public in upgrading the quality and standards of statistics in the country.
The Search for the Most Statistically Developed LGU will again highlight this year’s celebration. This year’s theme: NSM at 25 and Beyond: Solid and Responsive Philippine Statistical System in Support of Globalization and Regional Economic Integration.
BM Espino expressed confidence that the province is again eligible to win another award having earned the Hall of Fame Award for three consecutive years in 2008, 2009 and 2010 for being the best province in the staging of the Statistics month celebration. The activities for this year include jingle-making contest, Statistics quiz, poster-slogan making contest, essay writing and oratorical contest. (PIO- ADV)
