Regional Family Day in Dagupan
SOME 5,000 Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries from the four provinces of the Ilocos Region gather today at the Stadia in Dagupan City to take part in the Family Day and Convergence Caravan.
Regional Director Marcelo Castillo of the Department of Social Welfare and Development said the regional event, a part of the national activity to highlight transformed and empowered lives of the Pantawid Pamilya beneficiarie, will also launch the “Pantawid Pamilya para sa Pagbabago” campaign.
The beneficiaries were treated to song and dance numbers, games, video presentations and awarding ceremonies for exemplary members.
The families’ commitment through a symbolic ceremony will close the simultaneous national activity before noon. (PIA-VHS)
