Mayor Belen leads relief operations

MAYOR Belen T. Fernandez led simultaneous relief operations starting September 22 in different barangays of the city that were severely affected by typhoons Luis and Mario.
On the first day of the operations, relief goods were distributed to the following severely affected barangays: Bacayao Sur, Bacayao Norte, Pogo Grande, Lasip Grande, Lasip Chico and Malued.
The following day, the mayor distributed relief packs to affected residents of three different areas in barangay Lucao. More relief efforts are scheduled in the remaining severely affected barangays.
Relief goods consisted of rice, noodles, coffee and canned goods.
Dagupan was under a state of calamity brought about by floods spawned by rains dumped by the two recent typhoons. (By Leziel C. Aquino)
