DepEd personnel, teachers undergo drug tests

SOME 460 secondary teachers and personnel of the Dagupan City Division of Schools, Department of Education, were subjected to drug tests last August 27-28.

The tests, conducted in conjunction with DepEd’s “Safe and Healthy and Drug-Free Schools and Workplaces” campaign, were conducted by the physicians and medical staff of the Rehabilitation and Treatment Center of the Region 1 Medical Center in Dagupan City, through the Department of Health’s Manila-based Anti-Drugs Testing Center.

According to Division Education Supervisor Edilberto R. Abalos, the tests were conducted also in support of the city government’s anti-drugs campaign

The results of the tests on the first batch of the teachers and personnel will be known after three weeks. (Philamer C. Celi)
