DTI BAGWIS AWARD

ROSALES– SM City Rosales’ Hypermarket has been cited and awarded the prestigious Gold Bagwis Award of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) for observing the highest level of excellence in service for the benefit of its consumers.

“Only few have been awarded the gold seal in Region 1 and of all the branches of SM, only SM City Rosales earned the gold Bagwis award,” DTI Regional Director Florante Leal said.

He said the Bagwis award is the highest recognition given to a business establishment that complies with a criteria set.

Only four big companies in Region 1 have so far received the gold seal.

The award was presented to SM Hypermarket Executive Vice-President for Operations Arnold Daluz.

Daluz said “The seal will not just signify what we have done correctly in the past but will serve as a reminder for us to continue to deserve such a prestigious award; for us to continue treating customers with the service they deserve, to not just be reliable sources of goods but a trustworthy store where people are guaranteed getting their money’s worth”.

To earn the gold seal, establishments must meet the requirement of ISO 9001/Quality Management System Compliance on top of the criteria for the bronze and silver awards..

DTI’s Bagwis program recognizes businesses that operate on the highest level of business ethics through voluntary self-regulation and service excellence. (Tita Roces)
