Governor Espino Briefs Sec. Pangilinan on Status of Pangasinan’s Irrigation System. Governor Amado T. Espino, Jr. (in barong) briefs former Senator Francia “Kiko” Pangilinan who is now the Presidential Assistant for Food Security and Agricultural Modernization on various details regarding agricultural and irrigation situation in Pangasinan. The former senator was the guest of honor in the inauguration and blessing of the Re-Regulating Pond project on August 8 at San Roque Dam in San Manuel. The reservoir which is one of the components of the Agno River Integrated Irrigation Project (ARIIP) is capable of supplying water to 55,000 hectares of land. The ARIIP is envisioned to irrigate some 34,450 hectares that will benefit over 28,000 farm-families in Pangasinan.
