Blanco is relieved as OIC-police director
LINGAYEN— Pangasinan woke up last Monday, August 4 to find another officer-in-charge (OIC)-provincial director at the Provincial Police Station.
P/Sr. Supt. Sterling Raymund Blanco was suddenly relieved from his post by P/Chief Supt. Roman Felix, regional director.
In a text message to The PUNCH, Blanco, read “my reign as OIC in Pangasinan Police Provincial Office is finally over effective today”.
He thanked all, especially the media, for the support extended to him and his personnel.
“My only desire was to keep Pangasinan safe and peaceful,” he added and refused to answer questions about his sudden relief.
Blanco served for only five months as OIC-police director since he assumed his post on January 14, 2014. He is re-assigned to the regional police office in La Union and it is not known in what capacity.
He has been replaced by Senior Superintendent Reynaldo Biay as OIC-police director.
There was no formal turnover ceremony for the change of command. (Tita Roces)
