BIR-RDO 6 cited for integrity and accuracy of taxpayers’ database
URDANETA CITY- The personnel and officers assigned to the revenue district office (RDO) 6 of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) have a reason to crow.
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) rated their office as “excellent” for its customer service by and ranked number one in the entire region for the integrity and accuracy of taxpayers’ database.
RDO6’s scorecard of “excellent” rating is up from last year’s “good”.
Assistant revenue district officer Bernadette Mangaoang said their office simply improved the execution of the same system from previous years.
“We owe the high rating and the award to all the staff of RDO 6 but most especially to our front liners who face the taxpayers in every transaction with our office as the rating was based on customer’s feedback”, said Mangaoang.
Early this year, the employees underwent a team building seminar in order to enhance their interpersonal relationship for a more harmonious working environment. The physical set- up of the office was also upgraded.
RDO6 have also posted its highest collection last year with a total of P1 billion last 2013 and its target was increased to P1.2 billion at the end of 2014.
Atty. Nasrollah Conding, revenue district officer, said the office’s service is expected to improve further once its new building is constructed. (Hilda M. Austria)
