MAYOR Belen T. Fernandez will soon bring ten students to Milpitas City, California, U.S.A. for a ten-day ( September 26 – October  6) working visit as part of student, civic and cultural exchanges between the two cities.

The 10 are Mae Ann C. De Vera of Dagupan City National High School (DCNHS), Jensen Rio L. Juarez of St. John’s Cathedral School, Margauerite Marie A. Ferrer of Edna’s School, Leona Ericka B. Elegores of Francisco Q. Duque Medical Foundation Special Science High School, Ayana Kay B. Bertulfo of Divine Word Academy of Dagupan, Kyle Patrick L. Ussher of Oakridge International School of Young Leaders, Michael Gabrielle S. Lee of Genesis School of Happy Kids Advanced Studies, Blessie Belle T. Ramos of Carael National High School, David Justin P. Dawis of DCNHS, and Debbie Joyce Ferrer of Wonderland School of Dagupan. They are part of the Manlinkor ya Kalangweran in Dagupan this year.

Mayor Fernandez and the students were invited to Milpitas City by Mayor Jose S. Esteves, a native of Dagupan.

The trip will help the students understand the diverse cultural and community perspective of the students in Milpitas City and help them widen their views about other countries and nationalities.

De Vera is this year’s young city mayor who stayed at the side of Mayor Belen all throughout the duration of her tour of duty, while Juarez, Marie Ferrer and Elegores served as young city councilors.

Bertulfo served as the young city agriculturist, Ussher as young city legal officer, Lee as young city market division supervisor, Ramos as young city veterinarian, Dawis as young city PNP Chief, and Joyce Ferrer as young city Human Resource Management Officer. — (Joseph C. Bacani/CIO)
