8,992 Pangasinenses got work thru Pangasinan PESO

PANGASINAN has placed a total of 8,992 workers both for overseas and local employment from July 2007 to June 2014 under the leadership of Governor Amado T. Espino, Jr.
This was reported by the Provincial Employment Services Office (PESO) noting that from the recorded total a large number of 7,829 were placed for local employments while the remaining 1,163 were dispatched abroad.
It can be recalled that upon the instruction of Gov. Espino the PESO under the supervision of Alex F. Ferrer has launched a more aggressive and innovative approach in providing employment to Pangasinense jobseekers.
The remarkable achievements in job placements and other areas of concerns have earned numerous awards for Pangasinan PESO as the best and outstanding employment services provider both in the regional and national levels as well.
Regular conduct of job fairs and special recruitment activities top the activities of the PESO along with the inclusion of special projects such as special program for students and also other livelihood activities.
Recently, hundreds of jobseekers tried their luck as PESO conducted a one-day job fair for local and overseas employment to include 300 production operators and call center agents for domestic placements.
Some 157 applicants sought overseas job opportunities through Uno Overseas Placement, Inc. offer for possible deployment in Japan. Out of this, 79 have qualified to proceed for the final interview in Manila.
Employment slots for Japan include the following farmers, dairy workers, welders, machinist, metal electro plating, spray painters, furniture or wood workers, mason carpenter, industrial packager, chicken deboner, fish paste maker, fish deboner, sheet metal worker, high speed sewer, and press machine operator.
Another overseas employment is underway as Eyequest International Manpower Services based in Manila is looking for male and female factory workers for Taiwan.
