WRAPPERS TO PAVERS—-Mayor Belen Fernandez, together with officials from DepEd and Unilever Philippines, hold a sample of paver material that was successfully converted from recycled plastic wrappers under the ‘Wrappers to Pavers’ program initiated by city mayor. Before them were 7,000 of the total 17,900 pieces of pavers turned over last June 24 by Unilever, that will be used by public schools as bricks for roadways, pathways and for school beautification purposes. Under the program, students are encouraged to collect wrappers to be converted into pavers, instead of disposing them.
