Ex-police chief home robbed

LINGAYEN—The home of a former provincial police chief and the adjacent house of his daughter were broken into by still unidentified robbers who took away personal belongings and jewelries of still undetermined total value.

The suspects entered the compound of retired Police Sr Supt. Mariano Luis Verzosa around 3:50 a.m. on June 16 in Sto. Niňo Street West, Barangay Poblacion here.

The criminals gained entry through a window in Verzosa’s house and took his bag containing his wallet, assorted identification cards, sunglasses, one Nokia cellular phone, and assorted jewelry of one of his daughters.

The suspects then went into the house of one of Verzosa’s daughters, Councilor Maan Verzosa, in the same compound, and also took jewelries.—Tita Roces
