16-year-old shot dead, 2 others wounded
MANGATAREM—A 16-year old male was shot dead while two other teenagers were wounded by a still unidentified suspect around 9:30 p.m. on June 11 along the provincial road in Barangay Dorongan Punta here.
Killed was Monsour Licuanan, resident of Barangay Bituag, Urbiztondo, who was brought by responding policemen to the Mangatarem District Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The other two wounded victims, Nathaniel Dauz, 18, single, college student, and John Michael Francisco Papa, 19, single, high school student, both residents of Barangay Luna, Urbiztondo, sustained several gunshot wounds and were rushed to the Virgen Milagrosa Hospital in San Carlos City.
The three victims were on board a black Motorstar motorcycle without plate number from Urbiztondo heading towards Mangatarem when they noticed that they were being tailed by a motorcycle.
They were shot at close range by a lone gunman riding a black Honda TMX 155 motorcycle, who immediately fled after the shooting.
The police have yet to establish the motive for the shooting.
