Pangasinan set to host 6th National Scout Venture Camp

LINGAYEN—All’s set for the 6th National Scout Venture Camp at the Lingayen Capitol Beachfront from May 5 to May 10.

The preparations were finalized by the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) and the provincial government of Pangasinan as this year’s host to the national encampment.

Atty. Wendel Avisado, acting secretary-general and BSP senior vice-president of BSP, had expressed satisfaction over the preparations undertaken by the provincial government during the ocular inspection of the campsite at the Capitol Beachfront.

Vice-President Jejomar Binay, the current BSP national president and Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr., BSP regional council chairman, will formally open the camp at the Capitol Plaza.

“The provincial government thru the leadership of Gov. Espino has accomplished more than we had expected. Ginawa nila lahat,” Avisado said.

The BSP official also expressed admiration to the preparedness displayed by the Pangasinan provincial government in hosting national events.

“We are also glad that the Pangasinan-San Carlos City Council has prepared well,” Avisado said.

The campers, expected to arrive as early as May 3, will come from the 118 local BSP councils from the country’s three main regions of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. (PIO)
