HARASSING THE PUNCH FAMILY—-The PUNCH’s staff members cited as respondents in the libel case filed by Citystate Savings Bank troop to the regional trial court in Dagupan City to surrender voluntarily and to submit their P130,000 cash bond. The case stemmed from the publication of news story last year about the bank branch’s illegal operations and unauthorized use of the city government’s electric meter in MC Adore in Dagupan. Cited as respondents in addition to PUNCH publisher-editor Ermin Garcia Jr., are Jun Velasco, Marifi Jara, Jesus Garcia Jr., Johanne Macob, Julie Ann Arrogante and Virgilio Biagtan. The complaint was originally dismissed but eventually set aside on the motion of the bank owned by businessman Antonio Cabangon Chua.
