Two May Labor Day job fairs set

MORE than 11, 000 jobs will be up for grabs in the Labor Day job fairs sponsored by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
Director Grace Ursua of DOLE Region 1 said two job fairs will be held in Pangasinan, at SM City Rosales on May 1 and at the CB Mall in Urdaneta City on May 2. Another fair i is set in Vigan City on May 1.
Some 40 local employers and licensed recruitment agencies will offer at least 4, 000 vacancies at the SM City Rosales job fair and another 40 employers at the CB Mall jobs fair.
Top local vacancies include customer service representatives and technical support representatives, while overseas job orders are mostly for skilled construction workers, nurses and other medical workers, hotel and restaurant workers, and other skilled workers.
A livelihood display fair will also be featured where products from DOLE-assisted projects will be showcased.
“Labor Day is a fitting opportunity to recognize the valuable contribution of our workers in the development of the country,” Ursua said. (PIA1-Pangasinan/AMM)
