Security tightened in Dagupan bus terminals

THE police have tightened security in and around bus terminals in Dagupan as part of Oplan SumVac prepared by the Police Provincial Office to safeguard motorists and commuters travelling to and from the province going to and from Pangasinan this Holy Week.
Police officers and personnel of the Public and Order and Safety Office (POSO) in Dagupan, on order of Mayor Belen Fernandez, are posted at the terminals of Victory Liner, Five Star, Dagupan Bus and Solid North where buses and leaving and arriving fully loaded with passengers.
Meanwhile, officials of these private bus terminals have appealed to passengers not to carry firearms or any sharp or pointed objects.
They also called on travellers not to travel with their pet dogs and cats.–LVM
