Arenas imparts 5Fs of success to UL graduates
THIRD District Rep. Rose Marie “Baby” Arenas shared with graduates of the University of Luzon (UL) the five “Fs” she has learned from experience to be valuable as they step out of school and out into the world.
Speaking as guest of honor during the school’s commencement exercises last Monday at the CSI Stadia in Dagupan City, Arenas listed “family, friends, fairness, failure and faith” as the important factors in life.
She told them to treasure their family which is “one place on earth where all sins are forgiven and faults are forgotten”.
She urged them to choose their friends wisely and “keep away from people who do not believe in you, they are toxic to the spirit”.
The first-termer congresswoman also told them to “be fair with everyone you meet because life is full of injustice and the only way you can make this world a better place is to do your own bit in making it easier for others who need it more than you do”.
As for failure, she said there is no such thing for those who try.
“Frankly, I do not know of any success story that was not born out of the so-called ‘epic failures’,” she added.
Lastly, she urged them “to be steadfast in faith because God’s plans for us far exceed our dreams and hopes”.
“Let your faith be bigger than your fears,” she rallied them.—Tita Roces
