Malasiqui mayor’s bodyguard shot dead
MALASIQUI—A bodyguard of the mayor here was shot and killed Wednesday afternoon while at a neighbor’s house in Barangay Polong Norte.
The fatality was identified as Allan Boquiren, a bodyguard of Mayor Armand Domantay, who was playing mahjong ata neighbor’s house when unidentified motorcycle-riding men fired at him.
Boquiren sustained three gunshot wounds from a caliber .45 based on three empty shells and one slug recovered at the crime scene.
He was not carrying a weapon when the incident happened.
Investigators have yet to establish the motive for the crime.—Tita Roces
