Boy Scouts to hold “Venture Camp” in Lingayen

LINGAYEN–The Boy Scout of the Philippines (BSP) will have its 6th National Venture Camp on May 5 to 10 at the Capitol beachfront here with the theme “Scouting for Environment.”

BSP Regional Director Imelda Samson said this year’s activity will focus on trainings that will help the scout members become more environmentally-conscious and “always ready during disaster”.

Some 4,500 scouts from different regions in the country are expected to join.

The Scout Venture Camp is an annual activity of the BSP local councils that aims to provide opportunities for senior scouts to practice and enhance their physical, social, mental, emotional and spiritual potentials.

Gov. Amado Espino Jr., regional chairman of the Boy Scout of the Philippines, expressed hope that the convergence of all local scout councils in the country, solidarity among the scouts will be strengthened and members will be more prepared for challenges.
