CALASIAO–The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Regional Office 1’s renovated main building here was formally opened last week in time for the agency’s RFP (Register, File and Pay) campaign.

“Part of what taxpayers  religiously paid was spent to refurbish the worn-out main building and build and renovate the covered court, construct the new Document Processing Division (DPD) and Director’s Office Building,” BIR Regional Director Arnel Guballa said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner for the Operations Group Nelson M. Aspe congratulated Region 1 for its contribution to the BIR’s 2013 actual collection of P1.217 trillion and urged everyone to help the BIR gather potential taxpayers, resolve issues, address needs of taxpayers and consequently help build the nation.

The BIR Region 1 office recently awarded plagues of recognition to BIR partners and sponsored a fun-run dubbed “Takbo Para sa Maunlad na Bayan; Tamang Buwis ay Bayaran” to promote the RFP campaign. (PIA1-Pangasinan/VHS/MCA)
