Two-truck policy on bangus deliveries set
MAGSAYSAY FISH Market’s consignacion operators have agreed on a ‘Thursdays two-truck policy’ entry of bangus from western Pangasinan regardless of the number of permits with a new cut-off time at 6 p.m.
The group, following a meeting with Mayor Belen Fernandez last February 6, said the new policy will be strictly implemented and violators will be penalized with one month suspension of their permits to sell.
The new schedule of milkfish deliveries for the Magsaysay Market is Sunday to Thursday at 6 p.m. for all traders.
From Thursday midnight to Saturday midnight, only the milkfish produce of the city is allowed entry and be sold at the Magsaysay Fish Market.
Meanwhile, tilapia will only be allowed for sale in a licensed and legal tilapia consignacion.
WASTE MANAGEMENT
Meanwhile, consignacion members agreed to provide his own garbage can to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the market.
This is also seen to ensure easier collection of garbage two times a day by the collectors from Barangay 1.
“The garbage cans will be provided by the city at the expense of the consignacion owner. In addition, they have also agreed among themselves that they will pay monthly dues to finance some of the social developments to be engaged in by the association and the amount will be determined after consultations with the members are completed,” said Fernandez, who expressed gratitude to the operators’ full cooperation.
The monthly dues will be collected by the Treasurer and will be kept in a Trust account (CIO)
