THE Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) recognized KBP-Pangasinan chapter as one of its best local chapters in the country.

Pangasinan tied with Iloilo chapter in third place while Bukidnon was first and Bacolod second.

The winners received a cash incentive of P50, 000(1st place); P20, 000 (2nd place); and P12, 500 (3rd place).

The three local chapters were awarded for faithfully complying with the following: (1) implementation of the KBP Radio Broadcast Code as a self-regulatory body; (2) having local chapter activities like sports fest during Broadcaster’s Month; (3) holding Christmas party and others; (4) joining the program of the KBP like the “broadcastreeing,” a tree planting activity held nationwide every year; and (5) regular submission of up-to-date monthly meeting minutes and also having a sound financial standing.

Jay Mendoza, chairman of KBP-Pangasinan chapter, said his members are grateful for the recognition.

“It is the product of the support, unity and trust of KBP members and other media outlets for the endeavors of the group especially to the weekly KBP Forum,” Mendoza said.  (PIA1/ AMM)
