Job opportunities still open at PESO

LINGAYEN– More than 1,000 employment opportunities were on offer, some of which are still open for applications, during the job fair last January 28 organized by the Provincial Employment and Services Office (PESO).

PESO Chief Alex Ferrer said four companies participated in the fair, namely: Hanjin Heavy Industries & Construction Phils. Inc., Red Dragon Farms/Bantayan Manpower Services, Sheridan-Jeco Group of Companies, and Kamehachi Corporation.

Those looking for opportunities in the hotel management industry may submit their applications to Red Dragon as the company is looking for 10 management trainees, 10 cashiers, three marketing managers, 75 frontliners, 20 riders, and five management officers.

Sheridan-Jeco is set to employ seven booking and sales personnel, six merchandizers, and three mechanic drivers while Kamehachi has openings for online tutors to be trained for one month.

Hanjin has vacancies for 1,000 welder-trainees, 100 ship design staff, 35 maintenance personnel, 15 engineering staff, 15 safety patrolmen, 10 watchmen, heavy equipment operator, five administrative staff, and two company nurses.

Those who qualify as welder-trainees will undergo a 45-day training with allowance at the Subic Ship Yard.

Upon completion of their training, they will be hired as contractual welders of the company.–Johanne R. Macob with report from PIO.
