ANOTHER suspect involved in the March 7, 2012 murder of ex-Vice Mayor Ramon Arcinue of Lingayen and his wife Zorahayda was arrested at around 3:00 p.m. Jan. 27 by elements of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Barangay Pisuac, Urbiztondo.

P/Sr. Supt. Francisco Esguerra, CIDG1 regional chief, identified the suspect as Joey Vedaña alias Rey Vistro, who was arrested based on a warrant issued by Judge Renato Pinlac of the Regional Trial Court Branch 57 in San Carlos City.

Esguerra said Vedaña was carrying a caliber 38 revolver with five bullets when he was nabbed.

The Arcinue couple was shot dead by unidentified suspects in front of their rented apartment in Sampaloc, Manila in March 2012.

Esguerra said Vedaña is a member of the ‘Vistro Group’, a gun-for-hire operating in Pangasinan.

Vedaña was also involved in the August 16, 2011 slay of Atty. Leonardo Jimenez in Aguilar, Pangasinan and two other killings in Bayambang town and San Carlos City.

Aside from Vedaña, another suspect identified as Otto Guialaludin, a hired killer known as Boy Muslim from Cotabato City, was arrested in November last year by the National Bureau of Investigation.

Two of the slain couple’s children and two other motorcycle drivers were witnesses to the killing.
