MANGALDAN—A 19-year old man, enrolled as a junior high school student of Mangaldan National High School, was arrested for selling marijuana leaves to his fellow students inside the campus around noontime Monday.

The suspect, Jason Abrigo, resident of Barangay Poblacion here, is now in jail and facing charges for drug pushing, according to PO3 Gilbert Orias, investigator on case.

Abrigo was arrested by the school’s security guards in the act of selling dried marijuana leaves.

Confiscated from his possession included 13 sachets containing suspected dried marijuana leaves, 70 empty plastic sachets, two cellular phones, flash disks, disposable lighter and P 210.00 cash.

The suspect was brought to the PNP Provincial Crime Laboratory in Lingayen for drug test and laboratory examination.

Abrigo was reportedly selling a plastic sachet of dried marijuana leaves for P50 each.

He told the police that it was his first time to sell marijuana and that he was just waiting for “the right timing” to return the marijuana leaves to his source, a former classmate.

Dr. Rosalino Agpalo Jr., the school principal, said the school has been implementing strict security measures in the campus and vowed to further tighten measures following the incident.
