Pogi Espino takes board member seat

LINGAYEN–The first Monday of the year marked the first regular session for the new member of provincial board, Amado ‘Pogi’ Espino III, who was recently elected unopposed as Liga ng mga Barangay (LB) provincial president.

Espino, son Gov. Amado Espino Jr., said he plans to introduce policies that will ensure efficient and effective transition from outgoing and incoming barangay officials to promote ensure transparency, accountability and continuity of development programs.

He admitted he has yet to consult the SP members for other programs that will coincide with his role as head of the committees on Barangay and Rural Development, and Public Order and Safety.

The young Espino served as mayor of Bautista town for three terms before his election as barangay chairman last October.–Johanne R. Macob
