A FORMER leader of a fraternity group was gunned down Thursday in Galvan St, Dagupan City by still unidentified suspects with turf war as the established motive.

Michael Cariño, 30, resident of the barangay was sending a text message when he was shot several times by unidentified hitmen riding-in-tandem on a black motorcycle without plates.

He sustained gunshot wounds in the head and different parts of the body.

The police recovered at the crime scene four fired cartridges of caliber .45.

Superintendent Christopher Abrahano, city police chief, said Cariño was a leader of Alpha Kappa Rho (AKRHO) fraternity and was injured in a previous shooting incident.—Eva Visperas
