Binmaley hosts two cycling events

THE 424th foundation celebration of Binmaley will feature two cycling events on January 27 and February 2.

Vice Mayor Pedro A. Merrera III, fiesta executive committee chairman, said the first phase of the 30-kilometer road race “Tour of Binmaley” will be held on January 27 exclusively for Binmaley riders.

The second segment, “Binmaley Cycling Challenge,” 125-kilometer race, will be for 38 years old and above and open to any participant. It will be held on February 2 traversing the towns of Lingayen, Labrador, Sual, Alaminos City, Bani, Agno (partly), Mabini and back to the same route ending at the host town.

It will be sponsored by Meridien Gaming Corporation and Excellent Noodles.

A maximum of 100 contestants are expected to participate with trophies, medals and cash prizes up for grabs for both races.

Race time starts at 10:00 a.m. with Mayor Simplicio L. Rosario and Merrera to flag off the cyclists.–JAGJr.
