A MAN from Baguio City drowned in Barangay Nibaliw Vidal, San Fabian where he spent Christmas day for a picnic.

The victim was identified as Christopher Bildan, 23, of Kilometer 3, Asin Road, Baguio City who was with Rowena Cabusao, 19, when the tragedy happened.

Bildan’s body was recovered the following day.

Meanwhile, a housewife who jumped from a boat into the waters off Sual town was rescued by elements of the Philippine Coast Guard patrolling in the area.

Vilma Cabares, a native of La Union who is temporarily residing in Sual, reportedly had a fight with her live-in partner due to jealousy and while they were on a banca, she suddenly jumped into the water out of frustration.

But she quickly shouted for help reportedly because the water was just too cold.

Authorities said she was drunk when the incident happened.–Eva Visperas
