Lino Fernandez returns as Dagupan’s Liga president
BARANGAY Lucao Chairman Lino Fernandez returns as head of the Liga ng mga barangay when he ran unopposed during a general meeting and election by 31 barangay chairmen in Dagupan on December 18 at the Dagupan City Museum.
Fernandez, who will sit anew as ex-officio councilor of Dagupan, has first to secure a certification and acceptance from the Liga ng mga Barangay national headquarters before reporting to the Sangguniang Panlungsod.
Also unopposed was Bryan Kua, barangay chairman of Pogo Chico, who ran for vice president while the auditor is Julie Ann Perez of Barangay Pantal
Members of the board of directors are: Conrado Muyalde of Salisay, Arsenio Santillan of Lomboy, Joseph Ramos of Pogo Chico, Herminigildo Rosal of Barangay 1, Teresita Coquia of Caranglaan, Eugenio Balolong of Bacayao Sur and Helen Fermill of Tebeng.
The members of the board of directors will choose among themselves who serve as the secretary as well as treasurer of the Liga chapter.
After their election, the new Liga officers took their oath before Mayor Belen Fernandez as a sidelight of her executive meeting with department heads at the CSI Stadia.
