Employment rate in Pangasinan climbs to 91.5% as of July

LINGAYEN—Employment in Pangasinan registered an increase so far this year as more Pangasinenses found job placements through job fairs and other related activities initiated by the provincial government.

Based on the 2013 Labor Force Survey of the Provincial Employment Services Office (PESO), the employment rate in July this year stood at 91.5 %, higher than 90.6% record as of April.

PESO chief Alex Ferrer said that as of November 15 this year, the provincial government had placed and deployed some 7, 900 job applicants since Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr. assumed the provincial leadership in 2007.

The job fairs organized by PESO are for both local and overseas employment.  (PIO)
