Arcinue murder informant gets reward
LINGAYEN–About a month after the capture of the lone gunman in the slaying of politician-couple Ramon and Zorahayda Arcinue, the provincial government released last December 6 the P500,000 reward to the person who provided information which led to the arrest.
“This morning, as pledged by Governor Amado Espino Jr. and Vice Governor Jose Ferdinand Calimlim Jr., the P500,000-check reward will be given to the person who provided the information that led to the arrest of ‘Boy Muslim’, Otto Guialaludin,” announced Provincial Information Officer (PIO) Orpheus Velasco.
The informant, whose identity was withheld for security reasons, was accompanied by agents of the National Bureau Investigation-National Capital Region to the Governor’s Office where Calimlim handed the cheque in the presence of Provincial Treasurer Malou Utanes.
Another P200,000 was promised by the municipal government of Lingayen where Ramon Arcinue was once a vice mayor and Zorahayda a barangay chairman; and another P300,000 from the Arcinue family led by Mayor Roberto Arcinue of Sual town.
Guialaludin, a native of Cotabato City, was arrested in General Santos City and has been charged with double murder and investigation is ongoing for the mastermind of the crime.
Guialaludin, who once served as a bodyguard of Urbiztondo Mayor Ernesto Balolong Jr., has pointed to the mayor as the one who ordered the murder.
