BJMP holds Miss Gay-Bakulaw contest for fun

NATIONAL CORRECTIONAL CONSCIOUSNESS WEEK

SAN CARLOS CITY—Inmates at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) here took part in the Miss Gay–Bakulaw contest in the spirit of fun as part of the celebration of the National Correctional Consciousness Week on October 21 to 26.

City Jail Warden Kenneth A. Bid-Ing commended the inmates for their cooperation and participation not just in the “beauty” pageant but in other activities including the “Ka-Voice ni Idol” singing contest, chess tournament and basketball competition.

Various prizes were handed out to the winners of the different events.

Meanwhile, various religious groups based in the city also recently conducted a feeding program for the inmates.

The BJMP thanked the groups for their continued mission and support to the prisoners.
