UL leads blood donation drive

A BLOOD donation drive led by the University of Luzon (UL) here recently yielded 255,600 cc of blood, an all-time high in the series of 18 blood drives in eight years.

Dr. Carmelo Vidal, director of the National Service Training Program Unit of UL, said the regular mass blood donation of the University is in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC)–Pangasinan–Dagupan City–San Carlos City– Urdaneta City Chapters.

Present during the activity were Allan Claveria, PRC National Youth Council President and Member of the Board of Governors, representatives of the Philippine National Police, city government, and various cause-oriented groups like the Raon Atti (Friends of Asia) delegates of the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) of Korea.

Unveiled during the occasion was the Blood Services Platinum Award presented to UL by PRC. (PIA-Pangasinan/VHS)
