Policeman is first gun ban violator

SAN CARLOS CITY—A city policeman was the first to be arrested for violation of the election gun ban, which started September 28 and will be in effect until November 12.

Police Officer 1 Dick Curaming, 31, married, a Philippine National Police member assigned at the Crime Laboratory in Camp Crame and resident of Sta. Isabel Subdivision, Barangay Taloy here, was arrested on the evening of Sept. 28 while in a drinking spree inside a videoke bar.

Supt. Rodolfo Castro, police chief here, said officers conducting Oplan Bakal/Sita seized from Curaming’s possession a caliber .45 pistol with one magazine and eight live ammunitions while he was inside the 3Gs Restobar.
