69-year old widow shot dead
MANGATAREM—A 69-year old widow was shot dead by an unidentified suspect on board a scooter, possibly over a land dispute.
The victim, Perla Sabares, was sweeping the ground in front of the Our Lady of Fatima grotto in Barangay Zamora corner Roxas St. here Thursday morning when the shooter passed and made the hit using a caliber .45.
Witnesses say the suspect was wearing black jacket, white ball cap and six-pocket white short pants, medium in built and between 30 to 32 years old.
Sabares was rushed to the Velasquez Clinic here and later transferred to the Pangasinan Provincial Hospital in San Carlos City but was pronounced dead on arrival.
