Public warned vs. unregistered insecticides from China

LINGAYEN–The Center for Health Development (CHD) in Region1 has issued an advisory warning the public against buying unregistered insecticide products from China.

The advisory cited the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) findings that the following unregistered insecticide products from China failed the safety and efficacy assessment:

Tianshi insect killer spray (750ml), Big Bie Pai extra power flying insect killer spray (750ml), General Toad aerosol insecticide spray (750ml), Wawang frogking insecticide aerosos spray (750ml), Sun universe frogking insecticide aerosol lemon spray (750ml), Read A Dream insecticide spray (600ml), Baolilai aerosol insecticide spray (750ml), and Big Bie Pai aerosol insecticide spray (750ml).

The CHD also urged the public not to buy other unregistered insecticide products such as BaoMa black mosquito repellent incense coil, Juzhongwang black mosquito repellent coil, Kingba mini-smoke mosquito repellent incense coil, Tianshi black mosquito repellent incense coil, Read A Dream black mosquito repellent incense coil, and Green Leaf powder cockroach killing bait 5g powder.

The FDA also cited three unregistered local products, namely: Butiki water-based multi-insect killer, Jasmine aerosol can spray (750ml), and Wawang mosquito coil and natural insect repellent 50ml solution.–Johanne R. Macob
