Pangasinan’s most wanted criminal nabbed
BAYAMBANG—The number one most wanted criminal in the province has finally fallen into the hands of the law.
Arrested in Barangay Sancagulis here on September 21 through the implementation of a search warrant was Marcelino Estrada, who has a pending alias warrant of arrest for the crime of murder in 2006.
He is suspected to be the leader of the Estrada Group involved in gun-for-hire activity operating in the second and third districts of the province.
Estrada has previously denied the allegations, asserting that he is just a farmer.
Estrada, a native of Barangay Tumbar, Lingayen, was caught inside a house owned by a Mario Mejia.
Operatives from the Bayambang Police Station led by Senior Inspector Romel Centeno under the supervision of provincial chief investigator Superintend Froilan Lopez made the arrest and seized one cal. 45 and one magazine assembly loaded with eight bullets.
The search warrant was issued by Judge Renato Pinlac of the Regional Trial Court Branch 57, San Carlos City. —Johanne R. Macob
