MICRO, small and medium entrepreneurs can now avail of the bangus processing facility provided by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to Dagupan City under the Shared Services Facility  (SSF) program.

The facility, located at the Magsaysay Fish Market, is composed of different fish processing equipment including stove, smoking chambers, drying trays, fish carts, working tables, vacuum sealers and freezers.

The DTI will also provide skills training on technology, product development and packaging.

“A facility that could change lives!” was how Mayor Belen Fernandez described it during the launching ceremony last September 23.

Fernandez thanked DTI officials led by Regional Director Florante Leal and Provincial Director Peter Mangabat as well as 4^th District Rep. Georgina ‘Manay Gina’ De Venecia for the project.

Fernandez at the same time assured she will monitor the sustainability and success of the project.(CIO)
