THE National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has given assurance that its power transmission facilities are fully operational despite last week’s flooding in various parts of Luzon.

Lilibeth Gaydowen, communications officer of the government-owned corporation, said the weather disturbances posed no further threat to any NGCP facilities as of Wednesday.

She also stressed that NGCP has an anti-flooding and disaster management system in place to ensure reliable power transmission services during calamities.

NGCP’s transmission lines and substations in north and south Luzon and the National Capital Region endured the heavy rains and flood brought about by Typhoon Maring.
