ALTERNATIVE TO THE PDAF—Senate majority floor leader Alan S. Cayetano explains to Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr. and 2nd District Rep. Leopoldo Bataoil the impact of the abolition of the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) as announced by President Benigno Aquino III during his courtesy call on the governor last week. The senator had proposed the abolition of the PDAF, popularly called pork barrel, last Wednesday and recommended the line-item budgeting as a more transparent system to facilitate development in the countryside.
